Aaliyah: Remembering Her Legacy Eight Years On

Can you believe its been eight years already... I remembered this day like it was yesterday, my family and I were getting ready to drop my sister back to her college and we were listening to the traffic report on the radio and then a news brief came on of Aaliyah's death. It felt so unreal because earlier that day we were listening to her new music online. She died at the age of 22 and at that age it seems to early to go but God doesn't make mistakes when he takes you home. I send my prayers out to the family and friends on this day. RIP Aaliyah

Michael Jackson RIP

So its been like 2 weeks since Michael Jackson passed and I jus feel horrible for his children Paris, Prince Michael I and Blanket. They are totally caught up in this media frenzy forreal. My major thoughts on his life other than the music is his fashion forreal!!! The gloves the jakets the pants everything Major lines today have been inspired by him and I love it and will forever love his mind for it! Here is my ultimate favorite video!!!

The Good News is always First. Good News is that the Polls have been open since 6am so that we can all flock to the polls and VOTE OBAMA!!!

The Bad news is Obama's Grandmother died yesterday just before she could see her grandson become the next president! Don't worry Barack she is watching over you right now.

My Prayers go out to Jennifer Hudson!

This is incredibly sad and horrible news. News stations are now reporting that Jennifer’s mother Darnell Hudson and her brother jason were killed in their Chicago home. It is also being reported that Jennifer’s nephew Julian, her sister Julia’s son, is now being held for ransom. My heart goes out to Jennifer and her family girl just keep on praying and I will too.

Bernie Mac Dies at 50

"Actor/comedian Bernie Mac passed away this morning from complications due to pneumonia in a Chicago area hospital," his publicist, Danica Smith, said in a statement from Los Angeles." The comedian suffered from sarcoidosis, an inflammatory lung disease that produces tiny lumps of cells in the body's organs, but had said the condition went into remission in 2005. He recently was hospitalized and treated for pneumonia, which his publicist said was not related to the disease." -SOURCE I love Bernie Mac seriously some of my favorite movies that he was in was Ocean's 11,12, and 13 and then of course Guess Who? Sadia Morrison, who was a well-known celebrity publicist and stylist to the stars, has died. She was 26 years old.Morrison, whose client list has included boxer Zab Judah, rappers Kanye West, Plies and 50 Cent, as well as NFL running back Thomas Jones, among others, was allegedly murdered and thrown from the roof of a building in the Bronx section of New York City on Friday, June 13.Friends became worried about Morrison when they hadn’t heard from her. Morrison, who was said to have spent most of her day marketing her clients on Myspace, checking both her cell phones, replying to email on her Blackberry,last checked her Myspace account on Friday, June 13, 2008. She was a part of Outta Pocket Entertainment, a full service PR and event management company that is located at 307 West 38th in Manhattan that lists Thomas Jones as the CEO. Jones is currently expecting a child with actress Meagan Good.Morrison is survived by her mother, two sisters and a brother.

Yves Saint Laurent Dies at 71!

Saint Laurent, who died in his Paris home at age 71 on Sunday, forever changed the modern woman’s wardrobe with the tuxedo jackets, trench coats, and most memorably, pants, he both glamorized and popularized in the 1960s and 70s. Im truely upset but will be truely inspiried by this man and his undying vision.

Lil Mam's Mom Has Passed

BET has confirmed reports that rapper Lil Mama's mother, Tyra Kirkland has passed. My condolences go out to Lil Mama and her family...Teenager rapper Lil Mama’s label, Jive Records, confirms that her mother has died. Though official announcements from her or her representatives have yet to be released, reports say that Tyra Kirkland was diagnosed with colon cancer in 2003. Lil Mama (born Niatia Jessica Kirkland) was in Atlanta, GA preparing for the next show with labelmate Chris Brown’s Up Close & Personal Tour when she was told. She has left the tour to be with her family in NYC.

Yesterday my Great Aunt Passed yesterday of Lung Cancer in the hospital, I wasn't there but my mom told me she went with god and died peacefully. I may not know exactly what Kanye Feels but I can relate...

While at a performance in France as he was getting ready to perform "Hey mama" he couldn't take it anymore and broke down on stage. he left the stage for 15 mins and then came back to Perform "Stronger" We are praying for you. Many recipients of awards at the AMAs put Kanye in their speech sending their prayers to him also.

Dr. West Passes...

Reports have been pouring in since this morning stating that Kanye West’s mother, Dr. Donda West, has died. News sources and sources close to the family state that due to complications during cosmetic surgery, Donda West passed away last night. Chicago’s #1 hip hop station WGCI in Chicago, IL first reported the news today with no details. But Tonight I found out it was true as Rhymefest, Kanye's Good friend called in to Hot 97 and revealed it to be true. Im am Terriblely sorry to hear this sad news but my prays go out to Kanye and his Family. xoxoxo
